Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

Work closely with business units to establish the strategic technology direction of the company. Provide leadership to the existing technology organization to ensure that technology projects are appropriately prioritized, managed and delivered. The CIO must lead the planning, development and execution of strategies and solutions. Provide management for all aspects of systems infrastructure, development, and technology integration for the business.

The CIO will:
- Rapidly gain an understanding of business plans, current software products and management processes and mission critical production requirements.
- Lead business continuity efforts
- Lead ongoing staff development efforts
- Ensure that production systems continue to meet established performance standards.
- Review the existing organization, contract arrangements and key people in order to determine the best means to achieve the organization’s objectives.
- Identify and develop a technology and product management strategy
- Develop and gain approval for an information technology strategy, architecture, and methodology for the current and future
- Build, support, and retain a team of technically superior, business oriented IT professionals
- Establish, promote, and reinforce a proactive, action-oriented customer-driven philosophy for the IT team.
- Identify creative, technology-based opportunities to improve service, reduce costs, and increase revenues with members.
- Direct the day-to-day administration of the IT function including budgeting, managing staff, establishing aggressive timelines for major projects, and reviewing work in progress.

Qualifications:
- Information technology management experience in the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in communicating with and working with other executives in support of achieving aggressive business and technology goals.
- Applications development experience in a high-volume financial systems environment, as well as technical infrastructure and production applications experience.
- Project management skills and extensive knowledge of software development methodologies and production management.
- Strong orientation toward client service and process capability.
- Has led a technology team of 150 or more professionals.
- A strong leader
- Proven ability to build, support, grow and retain staff.
